What a thing of beauty is Gasparilla Island State Park. This marvelous beach gem and nature park is a really nice place to visit and enjoy. The water and beach area at the southern tip are the focal points. This tip is located right where Charlotte Harbor connects to the Gulf of Mexico. A wide variety of boats go cruising by, adding to this unique setting. What a refreshing and pleasing day we had visiting Gasparilla Island State Park.

| It must be a complete joy to go boating around Charlotte Harbor and Boca Grande. For rentals and tours, stop by Uncle Henry's or Whidden's Marina. | |
| The beaches are famous for their great shelling. Also, keep your eye out and you should see dolphin swimming and jumping near the shore. | |
| The park has a nicely shaded area to use for a picnic outing. | |
| The water around Gasparilla Island rivals that of even the Florida Keys. | |
| That is the Boca Grande Lighthouse Museum, which is free to browse. You will learn fun facts and historic information of how all this came together. | |
| The park is much larger than you may think. It has two beach zones, Range Light Beach on the southern tip and Sea Grape Beach about a half mile to the north. | |
| After a relaxing beach day, it will be time to do some sightseeing around the cute Boca Grande downtown area. | |
| You are close to all of the interesting venues and dining options of Boca Grande. The food and atmosphere at the Pink Elephant was terrific. | |
| This grand beach is also a hot spot for fishing. |
