What a treat was our boat outing and nature tour of this scenic state park. They have excellent boat tours you can book at Robbies Marina. The history of this island is remarkable. Touring something like this was just a pleasure. On a nice day with predictable weather, you can kayak right to the beach.

Our Boating Trip out to Lignumvitae Park When you get off the boat, everyone will walk up and tour places like the Matheson House (home with the history). They do a nice job of showing you why you would not want to live on a non-electric supplied island! Take me to Key West please. Be sure to bring along some water, diet drinks, and some Subway Foot-long Subs for refreshments. There is no restaurant or happy hour beer bar out there!
Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park has a big history. They have rides over from Robbie's Marina, at MM 77.5 (bayside). It is a boat only island, so this is your transportation. The tour boats shuttle passengers to the island at 9:00am and will continue until 3:00pm.
