Sometimes everyone needs a bit of uniqueness that only a place like Big Pine Key can provide. Yes, this island is magnificent and you just need to explore it correctly (slowly, hopefully some of the time in a kayak). Do both a motor boat rental and kayaks, both are so cheap here. Hit the No Name Pub and Bridge and see the Key Deer Park.

Volunteers needed in the City of Big Pine Key Florida
A few more volunteer helpers are needed for the Visitors Center Front Desk. It is fun and inspirational to help visitors learn about things to do and what not to do (no feeding the key deer!). Each day we have two four hour shifts (9am to 1pm - 1pm to 5pm), and you will have help and training is provided.

Really Neat Parts about the Lower Florida Keys
We love it here and the reefs are not as populated by boats, making it special. Big Pine seems to offer really good deals on hotels, reef trips, back country fishing, and others because it is a bit away from Key West.
