Nice place and so glad we read your Bokeelia Day Trip on a Dime article. Thanks for writing about this little community, we just loved the experience. We took the kayaks, just as you recommended and paddle for about three hours. The Calusa Blueway is outstanding, a special nature scene along the shoreline.
